Elizabeth Rocha
Founder and Director

Elizabeth specialises in treating clients suffering from depression, anxiety, stress and relationship issues. She enjoys the dynamic nature of couple therapy. Over the last 10 years in private practice, Elizabeth has achieved pleasing results with individuals and couples who have overcome major hurdles and knock backs. She draws upon a range of evidence-based practices such as Cognitive Behavioural therapy (CBT), Solution Focused, Mindfulness and Systems theory.

Early in her career she completed 7 years case management and social work consultancy within the Department of Human Service in the fields of disability, foster care and adoption. These roles gave her a solid understanding of the emotional pressures one can experience across all the areas of psychology.

Elizabeth is an accredited couple and family therapist, mental health social worker, psychotherapist and clinical student supervisor. Elizabeth has three university degrees in the field of mental health and psychology. B. Behavioural Psychology, La Trobe Uni. B. Social Work, Melbourne Uni and a P Grad Couple & Family Therapy, Swinburne Uni. She is currently completing her Masters. Elizabeth is a registered Medicare and Bayside ATAPs provider who treats children and adults.

Yvonne Santen

I have worked in Psychology over 14 years, and have extensive experience working in Depression, Anxiety, Trauma, Grief Counselling, Behaviour Change, Supporting Carers and Families, Financial Issues, Non Directive Pregnancy Counselling, Workplace Issues.

My work and life experience reflect and support my passion in helping people to successfully navigate through what can sometimes be very complex and difficult situations. Meeting demands of family, work and life in general, is something that I am very aware, can at times feel like an overwhelming struggle. Which is why I am passionate about empowering people to have the tools and skills to respond to and meet life’s demands.

Katrina Alford
Clinical Family Therapist

Katrina Alford is a Clinical Family Therapist and full clinical member of the AAFT. She is also an Accredited Mental Health Social Worker (AMHSW) with the AASW. She has a Master of Clinical Family Therapy, a Master of Counselling, and a Bachelor of Social Work. Katrina has ten years’ experience in youth mental health, providing treatment to families, parents, children and youth. Katrina utilises a variety of treatment models and approaches, and believes most strongly in using a variety of therapeutic interventions to tailor treatment to the needs of the individual/family.

Katrina provides treatment to families, adults and young people with a range of difficulties including: mental health issues, relationship problems, parenting, stress, trauma, grief and loss, adjustment and family issues. She has special interests in family therapy, and also eating disorders. She also offers supervision, consultation and training in a variety of areas of mental health and general therapeutic practice. She is able offer supervision via phone and Skype for interstate practitioners and those in rural/remote locations.

Deborah Schou
Mental Health Social Worker

Deborah is an accredited mental health social worker (Medicare provider) who has undertaken extensive post-graduate training, including a Master of Couple and Relationship Counselling, and specific training in trauma-informed practice.

She works with a respectful, professional counselling style, using interpersonal neurobiology, trauma theory, mindfulness, CBT, attachment theory, emotionally focused therapy, narrative therapy, DBT, EMDR and schema therapy.Deborah’s career includes many years counselling in hospitals and community agencies, including NICU (Neonatal Intensive Care), Sids and Kids and Relationships Australia.
